Our fellowship community meets inside every Saturday at 6p.m. for Home Gathering. It is a family oriented group that’s comprised of people of all ages. We love this opportunity to get to know everyone better and grow stronger in the Lord with a teaching from God’s Word. Call Mandy at 319-795-3714 if you have any questions.
Throughout the year, at our Gathering Cookouts a potluck meal is shared, followed by a time of worship, visiting and playing. We want this to be an evening for our Ranch Families get to know each other. We believe that the Christian walk is FUN and should not be done alone. Come, relax and enjoy one another’s company around a campfire.
They will be held on a few Wednesdays or Saturdays, please check out calendar (link). SVYR will provide table wear, main dish and drinks. We ask Ranch families to please bring your favorite side or dessert to share! If you are musically talented, share that with us too.
In June and August we plan on adding some Summer Days. These two summer events are the perfect opportunity for kids to just be kids, and for adults to be kids too! We invite all to join the fun and games. FYI the activities could be messy and wet; so wear your sloppy clothes or a swim suit with cover-up. No RSVP necessary . . . just show up!
Old Settlers Parade
The Old Settlers Parade in Kahoka is an event we participate in every year on a Saturday the end of September. Son Valley has a float, we bring a few horses and an enthusiastic group of ranch volunteers, kids and families. We will need lots of help riding in the float, holding banners, operating the manure carts and our Wranglers ride the horses.
Harvest Hoedown – Everyone is Welcome
